Spring is nearly here! Time to grab the leafy green plants and hang ’em!! I bought these hanging ferns the other week and totally LOVE them! They’re hanging in our kitchen widow. I think they’ll be great for Spring through Summer.
This is the pendant light we have above our kitchen sink. We found it online and I’ve been very pleased since the day we installed it. It would look great with an edison bulb but we just used a regular bulb. The style of this fixture would look great with any cottage or farmhouse decor.
Personally, we keep things pretty basic in the kitchen.. ha, with one exception – Coffee Mugs. I have to have options with my mugs. I match my coffee mug with my daily mood. 😂I like to swap mugs in and out with the season and holiday! So here’s some cute Spring mugs!!🌷
Every closet needs a black tank top! This black tank is comfy and flowy. It’s perfect under a cozy cardigan on cool nights or wear it alone on warm days. Best of all it’s currently 40% OFF when using the code “HAPPY”!
The mirror from Amazon Prime. Ha, it doesn’t get better than delivered straight to your door. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen this mirror in my stories many times. Must add – I assembled the mirror all by myself while Aaron was at work. Very easy to assemble!

Flowers, chocolate and pink. February is such a fun month. I wanted to add a few fun romantically blush touches around the living room. Since our home is mainly neutral it didn’t take much. Here’s what I did!
Blush Pillows and Plush Blanket
I had a light pink pillow and blanket upstairs in a room I have for my little sister when she comes to visit. I brought those downstairs.
World Market had some pretty blush velvet pillows for $9.99 so I grabbed a couple of those too!Pink Flowers
I already had several pink faux flowers in clear vases from previous springs. Although one is bright pink and the other is blush, clashing colors is cute for Valentine’s Day decor in my opinion. I put them both in a metal basket on the coffee table.
DIY Paper Heart Banner
Next step, hanging some little paper hearts from the mantel. Read more on the DIY by clicking HERE!
A Touch of More Pink
Finally, I added to the metal basket on our coffee table a few little pinkitems I already had around the house. One being a vintage floral print I found at an antique store years ago. The other being a pink milk glass wedding bowl I bought when I was about 15 years old.
Okay, so that’s how I added a few Valentine’s Day touches to the living room without spending too much money. Look for blush pink items around your own house. Look in your Spring decor box and grab the pinks. Also, if you have a young daughter, shop her room! Hope this blog post inspires to bring romantic touches to your own home!
Comfy and neutral off the shoulder top is a go to piece in my closet right now! It’s very soft and has the cutest little cuff sleeves detail. You can dress this top up for a night out or down for a day running around town.
New favorite mauve lipstick!! This lipstick by MAC is a great neutral. Of course, all MAC products are great! You can see this color on me in the featured image above. I bought this Viva Glam II on Monday and have worn it nearly every day since!
Okay, so I recently ordered this phone case from LoopyCases and it’s been great. I haven’t dropped my phone a single time since using it. LoopyCases offers a nice variety of colors too. I chose white marble.
Best of all, I have a coupon code to share with my buddies!! Code – GETLOOPY
During 2017, I got hooked on these precious pillows. I bought a total of three throughout the year! Bianca (the shop owner) makes each pillow and sews on the patch work herself. 😍 It’s such a beautiful work of art!!
I love a cozy cardigan. You can find me wearing one everywhere every day!! This cardigan is especially soft and sorta lightweight. (So, it’s perfect for those of us in the South) Oh, and this cardigan is less than $16 right now!!! (I paid much more than that for mine!!)
I totally splurged on my metal french style drying rack. This vintage drying rack is in the center of my kitchen on the island. I styled my Santa mugs on it during December and for now I have my Rae Dunn mugs on it. I bought it from a local antique mall, so I can’t give you the exact link. However, I found a few very similar so I’ll share those links with you!
Here’s a MUCH cheaper option if you like the style but not the price.. “Click Here”
So that’s my best buys for 2017!! Can’t wait to see what’s in store (maybe I should say stores 😉) for 2018!!
Joanna and Chip Gaines have released new items in the Hearth & Hand line! It was released December 26th – day after Christmas – and it’s a nice way of lifting your Christmas blues!!
The collection is beautiful! However, here’s a few things I noticed.. 1 – Our target doesn’t receive the entire collection. (Or it sells out the minute it hits our shelves 🤔) 2 – Specific items online sell out FAST. There were several items I waited to purchase online and later regretted it because they’ve been sold out since!
My advice – If it’s something you love, order it and if you change your mind, return it to your local Target.
