    Fresh Pine Wreath

A simple timeless way to add holiday cheer to your home is with a fresh pine wreath! You can use it inside or out – either way it’ll have that little space smelling and looking like Christmas time! That’s why when Artist Wreaths  reached out about sending us a wreath for the Holiday season – I said , “SURE”!!  There’s nothing like fresh pine during the Holidays. The wreath we chose was the Cedar Roses & Red Princess Pine Holiday Wreath. I was attracted to this wreath because of the sweet cedar pine roses. I though those were a creative combo on a Christmas wreath. It has just enough neutral with…

    The Clock Collection

Within the past year I have a newfound love for collections and grouped items that are very similar to one another. When similar vintage items are grouped it achieves a uniformed look with character.. if such a thing is possible. I’ve always collected milk glass (began at age 8) but recently I’ve wanted to broaden my collection abilities. That’s around the time I began thinking clocks were cute. Yep clocks. Especially the little vintage desk clocks with the white face and blacks numbers. So I began hunting around the antique malls and keeping the ones I found while picking. (This isn’t my usual way of doing business.. lol) Before I…

    Fall Dining Room Decor

Fall and Christmas are my VERY FAVORITE times of the year to decorate my home! I love pumpkins, orange, fall scented candles, cooler temperatures.. ahh just give me all the warm cozy tones!! So I did a little Fall decor on our farm table in the dining room. As usual, I kept it simple and tried using mostly items I already had. Sometimes shopping your own home is the best way to find cheap inspo! I tend to shop my own home every season and swap items around. This Fall, I used some white cake stands to add height and antique glass jugs on either side of those cake stands. To…

Simple, Sweet and Neat – Coffee Jars

Simple, sweet and oh so neat! We needed to make our little coffee situation both functional and eye appealing. So I went for my favorite glass canisters to keep our coffee area tidy! Aaron and I like different flavors of coffee so one jar (the biggest) is for his coffee and the other is mine. For months we’ve been keeping the Folger’s containers under the counter. Having thear glass canisters enables us to keep our coffee nearby yet look cute! Ha, these containers also serve as decor because they look cute! The older I become the more I look for decor to serve or be able to serve a functional use. That’s…

    Fall Decor Inspo

So pumpkin spice latte came out yesterday & that can only mean one thing – Fall will be here soon. This year I’m switching up the Fall decor in our home. However, I really enjoyed my white pumpkin vibe last year so I figured I would share them with you all again just in case you’re needing a little inspo and are digging the white pumpkin vibe. I so enjoyed my Fall Mantel last year. I used different tones of green with neutrals. Also, some sweet terra cotta pots! Fun times!! The dining room had some fun fall vibes last year too. I used a large dough bowl with a striped table…

    Bookshelf Refresh

Do you ever get in a mid season decor slump? I know I do. Then I begin to over complicate things.. Next thing I know I want to 100% change EVERYTHING in the house. This results in me becoming discouraged because; who can really actually change everything in a house? Absolutely defeated. Honestly, it really doesn’t have to be that complicated. A few weeks ago I wanted to change up these shelves as a little mid-end Summer refresh. I actually kept it simple this time and enjoyed the process! I started off by clearing the shelves. Less is more was the goal for me. Reason – because now’s my chance..…

4 Items I’m Already Hunting for Fall Decor

Yep, I’m already thinking Fall.  A few weeks ago we planted pumpkin seeds. Fingers are crossed that they’ll grow to be beautiful plump pumpkins. We planted the seeds in hopes of saving $$ on pumpkins since I decorate with so many during the Fall. Anyways, here’s four items I’m hunting for NOW while browsing shops, antique stores and thrift stores for Fall. 1 – Copper Tones Copper is one of Aaron’s favorites so I try to use it throughout our home. I think copper is especially nice for Fall. I’ve already collected a few items I plan to use in the upcoming months. 2- Cute Little White Faux Pumpkins While…

Another Chippy Cabinet – Vintage Find

Last month I found another white chippy primitive style cabinet & I haven’t shared it with you guys yet! You know my love for old cabinets.. we’ve talked about this obsession before. I found the old cabinet at a nearby antique mall… again.. same as the last chippy white cabinet I recently bought. Could it be I hit a goldmine??😱Tip – always always shop your local antique malls!  Even though I’m a “picker” I still shop/buy/support local vendors. So, here’s the deets on the cabinet.. It was a steal! I believe it was under $55. Tip – Yep, you don’t have to be full-time “picker” to find awesome deals. However, you…

    Mantel Refresh

My decor very much reflects my personality. It can’t sit still for long. Ha, I’m always changing it out! Recently, I freshened up the mantel in our living room. Digging in closets, shopping my own booths (Classic Cottage) and swapping pieces around, I restyled this space without running to Hobby Lobby and grabbing EVERYTHING on the shelves. I used a large antique gold mirror as the center anchor piece. I felt the curvy gold edges brought a nice romantic touch. Next, the hanging moss wreath.. Confession – this was already hanging from our Spring mantel refresh a few months ago. It’s actually hanging from the ceiling. It adds nice texture…
