    Easy Christmas Bedroom

I’m a little late in the season but let’s be honest, it’s never too late for extra Christmas cheer! I added some extra cozy glow to our bedroom this December! We have an old mantel in our bedroom. It’s one of my favorite spaces to style. I just added some sparkly leftover garland and trees.  I added some garland galore and fairy lights above the bed! I love using multiple shapes and colors of garland. It can be so fun!  This is our first Christmas to have a tree in our room! I’ve so enjoyed reading books with the cozy glow! I put the tree in a basket to add texture!  We’re…

    Fall Tablescape

I love to decorate a table! The centerpiece, the textures and the little details – I love it all! I put together a Fall tablescape for you all. You could use some of these ideas for a cozy Fall dinner or Thanksgiving dinner. Tables are so fun especially when you can use cozy festive elements!  I was inspired to use mixed metals and deep jewel tones for this table. Tarnished fall fancy is what I was going for! Something that would be appropriate for Thanksgiving dinner yet you could totally see Harry Potter sitting at it!  The runners! I love to start with a runner! For this table I dyed some…

    Transitioning Late Summer to Fall

Fall decor is calling me. Truly! It’s not even mid August but my heart craves COZY! It’s okay to blend Summer-y cozy into your home to begin the transition to those autumn tones. Slowly add deeper neutrals. Thats what I did with these vintage mannequins and old paint brushes. Just adding these darker items brought a warmth that’s not out of season, yet will blend nicely into fall. It also brought a bit of cozy to the entire living space.  Throw in yellow. Although I’m typically a mostly neutral gal, during the Fall I love to decorate with color. Who doesn’t love those rich autumn tones inspired by nature, right??…

    Fiesta Party Ideas

Tacos make anything fun! Besides preordering the cake and topper, I threw this party in less than a day and it was extremely budget friendly. My dad turned 50 and asked for salsa at my house to celebrate. Tacos are cheap. All you need is a little party decor, food and friends/family. As far as decor I made festive colorful strips across the table using a cheese cloth runner and paper streamers. BTW – paper streamers are LIFE. Next, I got clever and put a few sombrero hats on wood candle holders to add height to the table. I added some cake plates to anchor the look and to place the cake…

    Pancake Party for 3!

Weekend brunch, anyone? We had my little sister Kelbee last weekend so we treated her to a nice little pancake party. Pancakes are so fun to serve because everyone can garnish them however they’d like and they can be so pretty! It’s easy to make something that’s usually ordinary into something exciting! Even my 28 year old husband was looking forward to this colorful brunch. All it takes is adding a few extras and displaying it nicely! Grab the fresh strawberries and pour the orange juice into a cute pitcher. We like options! Syrup, strawberry syrup and local to Alabama Golden Eagle syrup were poured into glass cups. Strawberries and…

    Summer Tablescape Tour

If you’re coming from Kaycie’s blog Grey Birch Designs, I’m happy to have you here! Summer is in the air! I had so much fun putting together this summertime tablescape! Grab a friend, make a glass of lemonade and I’ll tell ya about it!   My inspiration for this tablescape was light french style linens, warm tones and bright fruit!   First things first, placemats! I grabbed these placemats for a base texture. Next, I used the old trusty ironstone plates from my shop. Found some wood bowls from a local thrift store. Added cute gold straws to my glasses and BAM I have the table necessities!  Next, the centerpiece! I came up with this classic idea…
